Frequently Asked Questions

General

What do you mean by “trauma-informed”?

A way of seeing and practicing care that recognizes the impact of stress and trauma, prioritizes safety, choice, and connection, and aims to reduce harm while supporting healing.

Who is Caring Essentials for?

Clinicians (NICU/peds and beyond), educators, leaders, and caring professionals—plus parents and advocates who want language, tools, and community grounded in science, soul, and skill.

Is this just for NICU teams?

No. We start in the NICU because it’s where life’s first relationships form—but the principles apply across healthcare, education, leadership, and community work.

Do you offer organizational or unit-wide support?

Yes. Speaking/workshops and custom engagements are available now; NICU Compass launches in 2026 for unit-level implementation.

TIP 2.0 Certificate Program

What is TIP 2.0?

An assessment-based certificate pathway that integrates TIDC, Caring Science, and the B.U.F.F.E.R. framework with reflection and practical skills.

How long does TIP 2.0 take?

Most learners complete it over 8–12 weeks with a gentle weekly rhythm. You retain life-time access to materials and can go at your own pace.

What’s the time commitment per week?

About 1–2 hours (short lessons, reflection prompts, and optional community touchpoints).

What’s your refund policy?

All sales are final (details on Policies page). You keep access and can complete at your own pace.

The Weaving Circle

What is the Weaving Circle?

The Weaving Circle is a relational gathering space rooted in reflection, connection, and shared inquiry. It is not a course, a program, or a training. It’s a place to pause, listen, and make meaning together — especially in times of transition, uncertainty, or growth.

The Circle holds space for humanity, curiosity, and presence rather than productivity or performance.

Who is the Weaving Circle for?

The Circle is for people who are:

a.) navigating change or transition

b.) longing for depth rather than noise

c.) committed to values like care, dignity, belonging, and justice

d.) seeking connection without obligation

There are no prerequisites and no expectation that participants share the same profession, identity, or path — just a willingness to show up with honesty and respect.

What is expected of participants?

Very little — by design.

There are no assignments, no posting requirements, and no pressure to engage in a particular way. You are welcome to:

a.) participate actively or quietly

b.) join live or read later

c.) listen more than you speak

d.) come and go as life allows

Presence matters more than output.

Is this a long-term commitment?

No.

The Weaving Circle is intentionally opt-in and spacious. You are welcome to remain as long as it feels supportive, and equally welcome to step away if your season shifts.

This is not a subscription, a contract, or a ladder to climb — it’s a shared space you can enter and exit with agency and care.

Speaking, Workshops, Retreats, Tools & Resources

Do you customize talks or trainings?

Yes. Keynotes, workshops, and in-service trainings are tailored to your audience and goals.

What are retreats like?

Immersive, reflective, nature-infused experiences blending neuroscience, leadership, creativity, and community. CE may be available depending on the retreat.

Can I use your tools with my team?

Yes—reflection decks and toolkits are designed for individual or group use. Attribution guidelines are provided with each resource.

Do I need prior training to use the tools?

No. Each tool includes clear instructions and suggested facilitation prompts.

Access & Inclusion

Is the content accessible internationally?

Yes—courses are online and on-demand; live sessions list times in ET and provide replays.

How do you handle privacy and consent for graduate spotlights?

We publish graduate names/quotes only with explicit permission; you can update or withdraw consent anytime.

The Ecosystem & Movement

How do the pieces fit together?

The ecosystem weaves TIDC (foundation), B.U.F.F.E.R. (leadership compass), TIP 2.0 (formation), The Common Thread (ongoing practice), Tools (daily action), Retreats (renewal), and REIMAGINE & Allies (civic expression).

How can I start?

Pick one doorway: Enroll in TIP 2.0, Join The Common Thread, or Subscribe to Musings & News—and grow from there.
